On Tuesday, the first football team of Al-Hilal departs to the city of Abha in preparation for participating in the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Cup for Arab Clubs, as announced by the club's official Twitter account on Monday. The capital's blue team will kick off their journey in the Arab tournament by facing Al-Ahly Tripoli from Libya on the coming Thursday, followed by a match against Qatar's Al-Sadd on July 30th. They will then conclude the group stage with a match against Morocco's Wydad on August 2nd.
On the training front, the team resumed their preparations on Monday after securing a victory in their last friendly match against Kuwait's Al-Kuwaiti with a score of 4-2. The focus of the training sessions, led by Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, was on both physical and technical aspects. The training session included recovery exercises for those who played as starters in the match against Kuwait, as well as fitness and conditioning drills, and technical maneuvers for the rest of the players. Additionally, Abdulilah Al-Maliki and Motaz Al-Mufarrij, the team's duo, engaged in a diverse training session involving running exercises and various ball drills.
